We have had 500 books marked down to $4.97 to prepare for our move back to Georgia. Now I have marked the other 1300 titles down an additional 20%. So literally everything is on sale a minimum of 40% off. While supplies last.

The website only shows the stock that I have here in Texas with me. Other than an occasional error if it shows it we have it. I just did a complete inventory a few months ago.

If something shows not in stock add your name to the waitlist. As we have over 150,000 books in the Georgia warehouse. When we are back (trying for end of October - end of November at latest) we will add the rest of the inventory.

Arlene has reprinted her first three volumes in her Linens and Lace series! I have had several conversations with people asking me if I can get them in the past. Who will be very excited now that she has reprinted them. She has graciously allowed me to buy some from her to offer on my site. I plan on restocking them when they run out. So if they get sold out add your name and when I replenish the stock it will email you that they are back in stock.

If you are not familiar with lace painting it is a delicate and beautiful way to paint. Arlene has gone through great lengths to bring you authentic looking lace designs. She travels the world teaching in seminars at shops and conventions.

What does Garmy mean?

Get that question all the time. It actually has nothing to do with the Army. There is no fun quirky story to go with it either.

The GAR comes from Gary and the MY comes from Amy. It is a mashup our first names. Over ten years ago we started a online book business selling all kinds of books. Needed a name that did not define a niche. We no longer sell all kinds of books. But I kept it because I thought it was different and easy to remember.

We have marked down over 550 books to $4.97 and pattern packets are all discounted more than before. These prices will be good till the end of July or until supplies last. 


We just got word that that my husband is set to deploy this fall. There is a slim chance it could change but unlikely.  Planning worse case which would be moving back in August. Yeah like next month August. Reducing inventory so the move is easier. The items put on sale we have more of back in Georgia. So anything sold out will add back in once we get there. And worse case if something changes will just  have them replenish my stock from the Georiga warehouse. 

Website makeover and updates!

This week we launched a new website design. The redesign was necessary so we could offer some new features. Our goal was to freshen it up making it a little simpler, faster and easier to navigate. We still have some tweaks to do but basically it is done.


Also we have updated our inventory to reflect only what is here with me in Texas. You will notice that the quantity on many books went drastically down. We still have the extra inventory but it is in Georgia. When we get back there we will add it back in.


One of my favorite new features is saving your basket to email. So if in the middle of shopping you get called away from the computer you can quickly just enter your email on the basket page and it will send you a email with a link to restore your basket. It saves it for 10 days.

First Blog Post

This blog will be about the site and life in general. It will be a work in progress. It seems like a good way to keep people updated about things on a weekly basis. Rather than only getting news once a month with my newsletters. 

If you would love to share pictures of your completed projects email them to me. I enjoy looking at them and think my customers would enjoy seeing others work too!
